Design
At first glance, the EdgeStar DWP61ES has a notably pleasant appearance. The compact sized unit has a plastic outer body with a faux stainless finish, which doesn’t look as impressive as a real stainless exterior, but more than suffices for an appliance this small that likely won’t be out on your counter-top permanently.
Size and weight wise, this dishwasher boasts of a low-profile design measuring just 17-3/16″ tall and 21-11/16 inches wide and weighs in at 48.5 lbs, so it doesn’t occupy much counter space and is easy to lift out of storage.
Quick Install
Getting the dishwasher up and running is a quick and easy process which takes only a matter of minutes. The unit comes supplied with the necessary kit to set it up, including a 5 foot hose and Quick Connect adapter which can connect to any standard kitchen faucet. Interior
Edgestar made no compromises when it comes to the interior. The stainless interior provides superb durability, and helps enhance performance to boot. There’s one spray arm which provides adequate coverage to get dirty dishes thoroughly clean.
It comes with one dish rack which can hold six place settings, and features a removable cutlery basket and cup shelf. The dish rack can fit plates sized up to 10.5 inches.
Controls
The DWP61ES is outfitted with a front digital control panel which consists of four buttons and a wash cycle select dial. There’s also an LED display which provides an overview of the current temperature and settings.
3-in-1 – This button activates the 3-in-1 feature for use if you are using 3-in-1 wash pod tablets such as Cascade Action Pacs, instead of regular powder detergent.
Delay – Pressing this button delays the start of the wash cycle. This feature can be cycled from 1 hour up to 4 hours.
Child lock – Pressing the above two buttons simultaneously activates the child lock for when you want to lock the control panel.
Start/Pause – Use this button to start or pause the machine.
On/Off – Turns the unit on/off.
