Who Would Buy This: Those shopping for a basic, quiet table fan for getting a refreshing breeze in a small or medium sized room.

Features

  • 4 speed settings
  • Digital controls
  • Oscillating function

Design

The Honeywell HT350B is a pretty fan which has a striking, modern appearance. Rather than opt for a traditional boxy design, the designers have given it sleek curves and smooth rounded edges that distinguishes it from most other table fans. The fan sports a sleek black finish which looks classy.

Despite being made of plastic, the unit seems eminently sturdy thanks to its sizeable depth, so it won’t tip over at the slightest accidental nudge. Its footprint measures 13 inches wide and 6.5 inches in depth. While its size isn’t super compact by any means, it is still compact enough to fit nicely on all but the smallest of tables.

Being a simple fan, no assembly is required. Just get it out the box and it’s ready to use. For user safety, the fan comes fitted with a fused safety plug which features overload safety protection.

Easy Touch Controls

The front digital controls provide easy adjustment of the settings using push-button style controls.

There are just three buttons which are located at the lower front of the unit, the first two of which are the power button and oscillation function. The third button gives you control over the four available fan speeds, these include Sleep, White Noise, Refresh and Power Cool. Each speed setting label is backlit, so in low lighting conditions you can comfortably see which speed the fan is running at.

Unfortunately, the fan doesn’t have the capability to save the settings when it’s turned off, which means when it’s turned back on it’s on the highest fan speed by default. However, given how quick and easy it is to change the fan speed, this is only a minor drawback.

Functionality

Adjustment-wise, the HT350B falls short. There is no option to manually tilt the fan either up/down or side-to-side, so if you want to adjust the horizontal position, you need to activate the oscillating function then turn it off once it’s moved to your desired position.

The oscillation mode itself works well, rotating the fan smoothly and slowly side-to-side approximately 90 degrees.

Summary

The Honeywell Quiet Set Table Fan has an imaginative design. It looks great and runs quietly while producing a satisfying airflow with its small 3-bladed propeller. On its lowest speed setting (Sleep), it produces a noise level of only about 40 dB, so it’s adequately quiet for bedroom use.

The main drawback is its limited manual adjustability, so if you need a table fan that has ample amounts of adjustments then we suggest you look further afield. For others, this make an admired choice.
